Seven Sisters Challenge – Saturday 26th September 2026
We are delighted to announce the Rowland Brothers Foundation Charity Hike taking place on Saturday 26th September 2026 — and this year, we’re going bigger and better.
Our route is the iconic Seven Sisters Hike, walking fromEastbourne Station to Seaford
Station, taking in the breathtaking chalk cliffs and coastal paths of the Seven Sisters National Park. It’s one of the most beautiful walks in the UK — and a challenge that will leave you feeling proud, energised, and deeply connected to nature.
After the success of last year’s fundraising hike, we are so excited to welcome even more walkers to take part. This hike isfun, challenging, and incredibly rewarding.
Why take part?
By joining the challenge, you’ll:
- Raise vital funds to support bereaved families in Croydon
- Improve your fitness and stamina
- Spend quality time with friends, family, or colleagues
- Experience the powerful mental health benefits of walking in nature
- Feel a genuine sense of achievement and community
The health benefits of walking
Walking is one of the most effective and accessible forms of exercise:
- Just 30 minutes of brisk walking can reduce the risk of heart disease by up to 35%
- Regular walking helps lower anxiety and depression by 20–30%
- Walking outdoors reduces cortisol (stress hormone) levels and improves sleep
- Long-distance walking builds cardiovascular fitness, leg strength, balance, and resilience
- Group walking boosts motivation, connection, and emotional wellbeing
Training for this hike will help you get fitter gradually, build confidence, and enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
What’s included?
- Monthly practice training hikes
- Held on the last Sunday of every month
- Supportive group environment and camaraderie
- A shared goal that keeps you motivated and moving
- The chance to be part of something truly meaningful
Whether you’re an experienced walker or taking on your first long-distance hike, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
