We are so proud of the incredible fundraising event we held on July 14th, 2025 – a walk across the Surrey Three Peaks on a linear 16-mile route.
Our fundraisers were a wonderful mix of clients, staff and friends from across Rowland Brothers. Together, we shared a day that was a perfect blend of challenge, fun, and laughter. Most importantly, we raised over £5,000 for our bereavement support charity, making a donation to the Good Grief Trust as well– an achievement that reflects the spirit of community and generosity that made the walk so special.
It was more than just a fundraising event – it was a day of connection and camaraderie. Preparing for the walk gave us monthly opportunities to train together, tackling hills that tested our fitness through all kinds of weather. Being outdoors and surrounded by nature is proven to boost our wellbeing, and this was at the heart of what the event was all about.
At Rowland Brothers Foundation, wellbeing is central to how we support our clients. Walking and hiking are not only great for physical health but also nurture resilience and mental clarity.
We were especially delighted that four members of our weekly Rowland Brothers walking group joined us for the challenge – a testament to how far people can go when they take those first small steps together.
At the end of the hike, we were greeted by Tony Rowland MBE, the visionary who originally set up our charity. A proud moment for us all!
The event left us inspired and uplifted, and while we miss our monthly training walks and the chance to connect with colleagues and friends, we are already looking forward to what comes next.
So, roll on 2026 – we’re already planning our next big challenge. Watch this space for details.
