What We Do

Our team are available to offer help and support to those who are grieving.

Support & Help

Our 1:1 sessions can be held either in person, online, or over the phone. We can help you work through bereavement and any related issues, offering support and practical help to get you through this difficult time.

Group Sessions

Talking to others who are also going through bereavement can be a good way to help deal with your own grief. We offer group sessions that provide support and the opportunity to connect with others who are also experiencing the loss of a loved one.

‘Never Alone’ drop ins

Our Never Alone bereavement support drop-ins create safe places for people to meet and talk with others who are also going through grief.

Our History

The Rowland Brothers Foundation was set up in 1984, and registered as a charity in 2017, by Tony Rowland, MBE. at a time when professional bereavement support was not yet widely available. Tony had the vision to provide a service that offers both practical and emotional support to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Serving our clients with professionalism and sensitivity, we are proud to be giving a much needed and important service to our community.

“Thank you for guiding us through the arrangements and for the lovely funeral service. Thank you too for Charles, your counsellor’s practical help in sourcing financial aid for the expenses.”

A.S. - London SE19

“We are particularly grateful for the help that Charles, your counsellor gave us in obtaining financial assistance for the costs and advice on tenancy issues.”

The Rowland Brothers Foundation charity is unique in the funeral industry, in that , in addition to the usual funeral services offered by Rowland Brother funeral directors, the charity offers professional and sensitive bereavement support to those who have lost a loved one.

The Foundation also provides bereavement training to various charities & organisations, including child bereavement training to schools. The Foundation also makes sizeable donations to many local charities and worthy causes.

The work of the Foundation is financed largely from donations made each year by Rowland Brothers Funeral Directors. We would love to expand our excellent work, and we are actively seeking further donations.
